   Mat, I attended one of John’s first ever events where he gave us a Blueprint which formed the basis for a number of key components that we put into our business.

   ‘Normal people with extraordinary visions’ who persist and have the faith to take the next step are those who become leaders because they forge the path and provide a guide for others.

   In today’s world you can either be an Innovator, an Imitator or a Spectator.

   Fortunately, in our industry there are a lot of Spectator agents which means that there is a great opportunity for agents who want to become a stand out in their area.

   If an agent wants to achieve success, start by being an Imitator and model off the best in the industry and then as momentum builds try new things and become the innovator.

   Hey Mat,

   I heard John McGrath in a webinar with Micheal Sheargold say “What are you doing on a daily basis to be face to face with 5 potential sellers per week” and that is my main focus.

   Everytime i feel tired or i feel like things aren’t going the way i hoped, i just think of those words and keep going hard.

    A real ‘thinker’ video Mat. It’s inspiring to follow great people like John and also yourself. Your passion is infectious.

    What surprises me time and time again in this industry is that there are so many successful agents in the industry that will take time out of their busy schedules for a coffee and a chat and expect nothing in return. Sharing their experience, knowledge and passion with an eager agent whose willing to soak up every word. Goes completely against the stereotype that the public puts on us agents. 90% of the agents I am surrounded by and meet are some of the best People I’ve ever met. Thanks to all these agents who really do make this ‘real estate world a better place’.

    I’m honoured to have John as a mentor (who I haven’t met) and adore what he’s done…..

    But seriously mate, my comment is this….

    Have a look at how our friend, Mr Mat Steinwede, is doing EXACTLY the same. Mate, I have never met a more giving, down to earth, courageous, and giving guy as yourself, and all the while you are giving to me and others in our biz, you are frigging running a SEVEN figure real estate business.

    Mat, you’re a credit to our business and I’d suggest John is proud as crap of YOU, and we look up to you, just as you look up to John.

    Thanks Mat, you’re a normal guy….who just happens to be an incredible inspiration to all of us

    …..and Q of the day…..

    I had a goal once many years ago to speak at AREC….and I once (how much of a wuss am I to give up after ONE rejection) ….haha, but I had that goal, and that goal, inspired by John McGrath, inspired me to build my own AREC, coz the secretary at TRET didn’t book a complete unknown after one phone call (haha, my respect for AREC would have went WAY south if she had’ve booked me, haha) anyway, my lil event, not a pimple on AREC’s butt up here in Qld, but hey, we’ve had some fun, it was all inspired by Mr McGrath.

    Eternal thanks to both of you legends.

    Thanks Matt for the very open and candid video about John McGrath.

    I to have always had a vision and continue to pursue. What often give me inspiration is that Johns passion and vision has always given me a kick along when listening to ‘hot topics’ ‘arec’ or other interviews. I agree he is a very open book and inspiring man and a industry godfather if I can call him that.
