How do you run an effective business unit?

This is an ongoing question however I feel that all you need is three people to write some large number and also give yourself some time leverage to have a life.

 

My team consists of

Myself (list, sell, negotiate, prospect, lead by example)

Jimmy (sell, negotiate, prospect)

Josh ( admin, database management, letterbox drop)

This seems to work for me. I have had a team of 1,2,3,4,5,6 and the number 3 seems to be right for me.

I think sometimes it can get a little too complicated, remember the main focus is to have enough time free to provide people with outstanding service, that’s what it’s about.

We all have weekly targets and that’s what we focus on, not much more than that really.

    When looking to employ a Personal Assistant or team member what are the big things you keep in mind and look out for?

      I think the most important thing I look for if it’s an admin PA is attention to detail, if they don’t have this then it won’t work. They have to have an eye like an eagle. If it’s a buyer agent then they need to have a great work ethic, all of the rest can be trained if they are a buyer agent. These are the things I would look for in these areas.
