Food, it’s so easy to over eat or snack on things that don’t sustain your energy throughout the day. This year I am looking to eat like a high performing corporate athlete and treat my body like a high performance car. This year I am eating for fuel, fuel that will provide a constant energy source throughout the entire day so when it’s game on I feel great and it’s game on, when my phone rings I’m on it, when I am showing a home I am full of enthusiasm and engaged or whenever I am prospecting people can feel I am feeling good and full of energy. I believe a big part of this is the choices you make around what you eat and the way you treat your body, so I am committed to fueling my body with food that will make it hum right the way through the day. It feels so good when your body feels good!

That’s a great point. People don’t realise the importance of putting the right things into your body. It can be tough in this world as we are surrounded with all sorts of fatty foods, saturated in fats, sugar and highly manufactured carbohydrates (just to name a few). Whenever I walk in to a service station to pay for my fuel, I look around me and see all the chocolates, lollies, soft drinks, milk drinks, ciggarettes etc, and think to myself “check out all this crap that we need to dodge like bullets in order to reamin healthy”. I have trained myself to do it (but can only get healthier). I dream about the day when we walk in to service stations and we can only chose from fruit salads, completely organic sandwiches and only water in the fridge. Once again good point Mat. I think more emphasis needs to be placed on healthy eating.
Hi Brent,
I totally agree.
I believe there is a direct link between success and the way you feel. Actually I know there is.
The ability to say no to sugary things is the start to better living, I feel today it is such the norm to eat sweet things or drink energy drinks to fill in the snack gap because it’s quick and easy but the price is high from an energy management perspective.
I was listening to a nutritionist a few months ago that said sugar is like poision for the brain and it is so true. The amount of sugar that is put in many things we eat these days is scary.
I also often think imagine there were drive through places that we could zip into during the day and grab fast health food and I mean food that is really good for you not just food that is “labeled good for you” but really isn’t.
It takes effort to eat well everyday but the returns are immeasurable.
After committing to eating well for a while, it’s funny, the craving for junk food goes away and it becomes much easier and you feel so much clearer.
