Sometimes life gets really busy, I think the thing to be really aware of is how you feel. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness and feel like the rest of the world owns you or your time but I have learned over the years that you must take time to re-new your energy. If you don’t you will end up running on half cylinders and even though you are thinking you are working hard, you will be far less effective. I don’t just mean taking time off, sure that’s part of it, but I also mean structuring your day so you don’t have too much on every single day, which is easy to do in real estate. Sure some days you are so flat out there is hardly anytime to breathe but one thing I do now is make sure if I have one of those full days I don’t have much on the next day, so I can clear my plate, spend time prospecting and take great care of my current clients. When you load yourself up to much and too often something suffers and it’s usually your service levels. Richard Branson talks about flowing in and out of work and it’s true. There needs to be a rhythm to your days and I don’t mean music, it’s more about the rhythm of energy. If you feel great and full of energy day in-day out you will achieve double the results just because you feel aligned with the Universe and people will naturally want to deal with you when you are transferring a great energy.
